Viral TikTok sounds make perfect ringtones — but there is no direct "Set as Ringtone" button on TikTok. Here is the full process to turn any TikTok audio into a ringtone on both iPhone and Android.
Step 1 — Download the TikTok Audio as MP3
- Copy the TikTok video URL (Share → Copy Link)
- Go to savefrominternet.com in your browser
- Paste the URL and click Download TikTok Video
- Click Extract Audio — the MP3 downloads to your device
Set as Ringtone on Android
Android makes this simple — you can set any MP3 as a ringtone directly from the Files app.
- Open the Files app → Downloads and find the MP3
- Long-press the file and tap Set as ringtone (option name varies by Android version)
- Or: go to Settings → Sound → Phone ringtone → Add ringtone and select the MP3
Set as Ringtone on iPhone
iPhone requires a few extra steps because iOS does not natively allow arbitrary MP3 files as ringtones — they must be in the .m4r format and imported through iTunes/Finder or GarageBand.
Method A — GarageBand (Free, No PC Required)
- Download the TikTok MP3 to your iPhone (Files → Downloads)
- Open GarageBand (free from App Store)
- Create a new Audio Recorder project
- Tap the Loop icon → Files → find your MP3 → drag it onto the timeline
- Trim to 30 seconds (iPhone ringtone limit)
- Tap the triangle menu → My Songs → long-press the project → Share → Ringtone
- Set as Default Ringtone or assign to a contact
Method B — iTunes/Finder on Mac or PC
- Open iTunes (Windows) or Finder (Mac)
- Convert the MP3 to AAC, then rename the file extension to
.m4r - Drag the .m4r file to your iPhone in Finder/iTunes under Tones
- It appears in Settings → Sound → Ringtone
